New South Wales:-
Daniel Hughes, Nic Maddinson, Kurtis Patterson, Ryan Gibson, Ed Cowan, Sean Abbott, Peter Nevill, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, Gurinder Sandhu, Harry Conway/ Mickey Edwards
Inclusions & Exclusions:
In: Mitchell ‘Deadly’ Starc
FCG’s players to watch out for:
Starc: Barring any last minute hiccups, Starc will return in this game. He’s an automatic selection if he’s available. Why? Ask the batsmen who are going to face him tomorrow.
Apart from Starc, don’t leave Sandhu & Abbott as well against a weak batting attack. All three will give you useful wicket points for your fantasy teams.
Fergusan: The SA veteran had two bad games & a player of his caliber is not going to miss everyday. If he gets a steady start, he’ll definitely give you handful of points
Worrall & Mennie: The best part about South Australian bowling attack is, they are being led by one of the best domestic fast bowlers (Include injured Sayers as well) & the worst part is they don’t have any other wicket taking bowler other than these two.
But both of them are capable of picking 4-5 wickets in an inning. (Just like Mennie did in last game) So, don’t leave any of them.
Nevill: He’s enjoying the form of his life right now. Even though he did nothing in the initial two games but 1 or 2 early wickets & it’s a perfect platform for Nevill to hit big.
Even if he gets last 10 overs to bat, he can make the most out of it as well.
(For small leagues, consider Carey who’ll open for SA )
Hughes, Patterson & Cowan: As we just discussed SA’s bowling attack starts with Worall & Mennie & ends with them. The super consistent duo of Hughes & Cowan can play a big inning. So, don’t avoid them on a good batting surface.
Ross & Cooper: The sweepologist of Australia, Alex Ross is another player who you shouldn’t ignore. If there’s anyone who can play Lyon well in SA side, that’s Alex Ross.
Maddinson: We told you in the last game either he’ll deal in a duck or a quickfire 100.
He hit a century the same day. But, out of all the players we have listed above, he’s definitely the most inconsistent player.
Failure on the way?
Pick 6 players from NSW & 5 from SA.
The match is scheduled to be played at Hurtsville Oval, Sydney where you can expect a lot of runs just like every other Australian ground.
Starc, Ferguson, Hughes, Worrall.
