SRH has been really impressive in the last game, their bowling in particular.
Defending 118 against a might MI batting lineup without their star bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was an incredible effort.
But their batsmen have to step up, can’t expect your bowlers to defend under 150 every game.
Dhawan, Williamson, Saha/Goswami, Pandey, Shakib, Pathan, Nabi/Hales, Rashid, Bhuvi/Thampi, Kaul, Sandeep
* Bhuvi is expected to be fit for this clash & should replace Thampi. But there’s still no confirmation if he’s 100% fit & available.
*Nabi had a decent first game but SRH is looking very short in their batting department & can bring Hales at the top for Nabi. In that case, SRH would back their top 5 bowlers to bowl full 20 overs
*Saha after that 20 ball century in a club level game, has looked terrible. Goswami who had a terrific domestic season can get a chance. But SRH have spent huge on Saha & he’s still one of the best wk’s in India that might go in his favor.
Another couple of failures for Saha & Goswami should be straight in.
*As we discussed in the last KXIP Vs SRH Preview, Sandeep Sharma has a fantastic record against Universe Boss Gayle.
Gayle never looks comfortable when the ball is pitched right up & goes away from him specially in his initial 10-15 balls.
Won’t be surprised if Gayle knicks straight into the slips in Sandeep’s over.
Kings XI Punjab:
Rahul, Gayle, Mayank/Tiwary, Finch, Nair, Yuvraj, Ashwin, Tye, Rajpoot, Sran, Mujeeb.
*Apart from Gayle’s return on Miller’s expense, no change is expected from KXIP.
(Unless Ash decides to be unpredictable again)
*Even though Finch has been failing again & again but has the backing of his skipper which might cost Miller his place in the eleven.
*There’s no official news about Axar’s fitness. He was expected to be fit in 2-3 games but there are no signs of his return yet.
