Delhi Daredevils:
Probable11:
Munro, Shaw, Iyer (c), Pant (wk, Maxwell, Shankar, Tewatia, Plunkett, Mishra, Avesh, Boult.
*No change is expected from DD as this is their strongest & most balanced side till now. Though, there are reports that Roy has been fit & available. Because Maxwell has been really poor this season, DD can play both Roy & Munro together by dropping Maxwell. (Which is very unlikely atleast for another 1-2 games)
*After two extremely good games, Plunkett had an off day against Watson & Dhoni but those two performances will retain his place in the eleven.
*Maxwell can be a risky pick today but both Munro & Maxwell are due & if both fires, they can easily take the game away from RR.
Rajasthan Royals:
Probable11:
Rahane, Tripathi, Samson, Stokes, Butler, Lomror/Gopal, Gowtham, Archer, Kulkarni/Gopal, Sodhi, Unadkat.
*Rajasthan’s overseas big buys Stokes & Butler have been really disappointing for them this season but none of them can be replaced.
*Sodhi had a decent debut in the last game & expected to feature today as well considering the slowness of Kotla deck.
*Short will definitely come in the eleven later in the tournament but for this game he’s unlikely to feature as he has badly struggled against spin & playing him against Mishra , Tewatia & Maxwell at Kotla will be a big gamble.
Klaasen though has a reputation of playing spin well (thanks to that game against Chahal & Kuldeep) which can give him a place but Sodhi will be RR’s first pick as they are short in their spin department.
*Mahipal Lomror who is nicknamed ‘Gayle’ costed them the game in the last game & might continue to do so if he’s not utilised well.
Their batting coach Amol Mazumdar’s PC conference suggested they can give him another game.
Good Luck.
