Venue:Â Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney
Pitch & conditions:
An average scoring ground with little assistance to spinners. Score around 160-65 is expected.
Squads:
Scorchers:
Ashton Turner (C), Ashton Agar, Jason Behrendorff, Hilton Cartwright, Josh Inglis, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Usman Qadir, Michael Klinger, Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Sam Whiteman, David Willey, W Bosisto
Sixers:
Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Justin Avendano, Josh Philippe, Tom Curran, Joe Denly, Jack Edwards, Dan Fallins, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Steve O’Keefe, Lloyd Pope, Jordan Silk
Expected Playing 11:
Sixers:
Edwards, Denly, Hughes, Henriques (C), Silk, Phillipe, Abbott, O’Keefe, Dwarshuis, Curran, Pope.
*Henriques has been in exceptional touch in the warmup games scoring over 70 in both the games. There’s always some uncertainty over his bowling availability & isn’t expected to bowl much during this season as well.
*Both Hughes & Edwards played a good hand in one of the trial games while failed in the other. Overseas recruit, Tom Curran was too expensive giving away 48 runs in his 4 overs picking 2 wickets.
Scorchers:
Klinger, Whiteman (wk), Willey, Cartwright, Turner (C), Inglis/Bosisto, Â Agar, Coulternile, Qadir/Jhye, Behrendorff, Tye.
*Inglis is expected to replace Marsh in the eleven & Turner will lead the side.
*Scorchers had a terible day with the bat in the last game but they are a Champion side & are expected to bounce back well.
*Qadir who was preferred over Jhye in the last game can get another one.
Dream11 Team:
Wk: Whiteman
Batsmen: Klinger, Turner, Henriques (VC-1), Hughes.
(Alternatives: Phillipe, Silk, Cartwright)
Allrounders: Willey (C), Denly (VC-2)
(Alternatives: O’Keefe, Agar)
Bowlers: Behrendorff, Tye, NCN, Dwarshuis.
(Alternatives: Abbott, Curran)
Grand League picks:
As I mentioned in the last game too, back PS’s bowlers as cap & vc in a few teams along with their consistent run getters like Klinger & Turner.
In Sixers, Denly, Henriques, Abbott are the consistent performers so rotate them as captain & vice-captain in your teams.
Good Luck.
