Super Smash: Auckland Aces Vs Wellington Firebirds Dream11 Analysis & Team

Venue: Eden Park, Outer Oval, Auckland

Pitch & Conditions:

Eden Park has been a very high scoring ground due to its short boundaries & excellent batting conditions. Recently concluded Ford Trophy & last Super Smash recorded some really high scoring totals as well.

Expected 11:

Auckland Aces:

Guptill, Munro, Phillips (wk), Chapman, Cachopa (C), Robbie O’Donnell, Grobbellar, Somerville, Lister. Quinn, Fergusan.

Wellington Firebirds:

Conway, Bracewell, Hose, Neesham, Blundell (wk), Pollard, Woodcock, Nofal, Bennett (C),Patel, Newton.

Overview:

While Firebirds have lost their first game against defending champion Knights, Aces will play their first game this season & are looking very solid in batting department with a very explosive top 5, out of which 4 are Blackcaps.

They have played two warmup games against Hobart Hurricanes which they lost but those games can be very useful in creating your Fantasy team.

My Dream11 Team:

Wk: Phillips

Batsmen: Conway, Bracewell, Guptill, Munro, Hose

Allrounders: Neesham

Bowlers: Newton, Lister, Fergusan, Somerville.

My power players:

(Also your choice for captain & vice-captain)

Munro:  Is an absolute beast when he plays in NZ domestic games whether it’s Odi’s or T20’s.

Scored a mammoth 143(93) deliveries in his first Ford trophy game this season. Also scored 53(38) in one of the warmup games.

Not to forget, he’s more than just a part timer in these domestic fixtures, which makes him a must pick.

Neesham: Is in the form of his life right now. His match winning performances with both bat & ball in the Ford Trophy earned him a place in the NZ-A squad & his comeback in the BlackCaps squad is not far away.

Guptill: Always a risk in backing a player who’s coming after a long break due to injury but Guptill has got enough game time & also scored 83*(61) against a quality Hurricanes attack.

Phillips: Again, a very aggressive, yet extremely consistent player in the domestic fixtures who in his short career till now, has also impressed in almost every conditions that he has played including the ones in India & WI. Scored 54(37) in one of the warmup games too.

For small leagues, if you have to choose only two for your captain & vice-captain, Munro & Neesham will be the safe picks.

Good Luck & do upvote if you like the analysis.
