Super Smash: Central Stags Vs Auckland Aces Dream11 Preview & Team:

Venue: Pukekura Park, New Plymouth

Pitch & Conditions:

New Plymouth had probably the shortest boundaries last Supersmash season, but still the average score isn’t too high.

Few games have been very high scoring (like the very famous one, where CD lost by 1 run chasing 249 in 20 overs) & the rest have been around 140-50.

Squad Changes:

Aces: NONE

Stags: NONE

Expected 11:

Central Stags:

Cleaver (wk), Worker, Young, Bruce (C), Clarkson, Bracewell, Barnett, Wheeler, Rance, Murray, Tickner.

Auckland Aces:

Guptill, Munro, Phillips (wk), Chapman, Cachopa (C), Robbie O’Donnell, Grobbellar/Hira, Somerville, Lister, Quinn, Fergusan.

My Dream11 Team:

Wk: Phillips

Batsmen: Munro, Guptill, Bruce, Young

(You can consider Chapman or Cachopa too)

Allrounders: Bracewell, Worker.

Bowlers: Fergusan, Somerville, Wheeler, Tickner.

(Alternatives: Lister & Rance)

My Power Players:

(Also your captain’s choices)

Munro:  Is an absolute beast when he plays in NZ domestic games whether it’s Odi’s or T20’s.

Scored a mammoth 143(93) deliveries in his first Ford trophy game this season. Also scored 53(38) in one of the warmup games.

Not to forget, he’s more than just a part timer in these domestic fixtures, which makes him a must pick.

Phillips: Again, a very aggressive, yet extremely consistent player in the domestic fixtures who in his short career till now, has also impressed in almost every conditions that he has played including the ones in India & WI. Scored 54(37) in one of the warmup games too.

Guptill: Always a risk in backing a player who’s coming after a long break due to injury but Guptill has got enough game time & also scored 83*(61) against a quality Hurricanes attack.

Worker: As i discussed in the last preview as well that he’s struggling with his form with the  bat (apart from that one inning of 99 against Ind-A) but he has a good record at Pukekera Park, especially with the ball. But, he’ll still be my last choice when choosing my captain considering how dominant these Aces top 4 are. (Including Chapman)

*If you can drop any of the top 3 or can adjust credits, then do consider Chapman in few of your teams. He’ll be a very valuable pick if he bowls.

Grand League picks:

Apart from the four mentioned above, back Chapman, Fergusan, Somerville in GL’s.
