Section 6: Player performance at the venue:

RR & SRH batsmen at Dubai:

Section 7: Finding the fantasy value

Jason Holder (bowling first): Have always backed him as my fantasy captain whenever he has bowled first, for the first time I didn’t, in the last game, and he made me regret with an amazing allround performance. He has been exceptional in IPL bowling first, and the difference in wickets in first & second innings is HUGE.

Holder in IPL (bowling first & second)

Innings Overs Wickets Average SR
First492118.314
Second26.545940.3

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Chris Morris (bowling first): If plays, Morris should still be trusted as your captain if he bowls first. Has bowled the worst spell of his T20 career against PBKS where he bowled majority of his deliveries to the fifth or sixth stump on the leg side but is a quality bowler & should bounce back with a strong performance.

Morris vs SRH:

Innings 11
Overs36
Wickets 12
Average 23.8
SR18

Morris at Dubai:

Innings 4
Overs15.4
Wickets 8
Average 16
SR11.8

Bowling first at Dubai: 4-26-4

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Mustafizur Rahman: As i said in the last game, he was bowling incredibly well but was just unlucky not to get wickets. Last game had very good figures of 4-22-2 picking two big wickets. Against SRH (his former side), he will be a big wicket taking threat once again.

Fizz vs SRH:

Innings 3
Overs 11.4
Wickets 7
Average 8.9
SR10

(6 out of 7 came bowling second)

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Manish Pandey: Can be dropped in this game and should be dropped the way he played in the last game. And this will not be the first time this season that he can be dropped for his SR. Only his good recent numbers against RR can allow him another opportunity.

Has 3 consecutive fifties against RR in his last 4 innings.

Pandey vs RR in last 4 innings: 31(20), 83*, 54, 61

Captaincy suitability: Mini GL & GL.

Sanju Samson: Could not take his team home in the last game, but made important runs for your fantasy team. Against SRH, has good recent numbers.

Sanju Samson vs SRH (since IPL 2018)

Innings 7
Runs349
Average 69.8
SR143
30+6
1001

Last 6 vs SRH:  48(33), 36(26), 26 (25), 48*(32), 102*(55), 40(30), 49(42)

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Liam Livingstone (if opens): Failed in the last game when he opened in place of Lewis, but the kind of form he is in, he can be a great captaincy choice if he opens again.

The last time he opened vs SRH he scored 44(26) and helped RR chase quite comfortably.

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

The high risk GL pick: Tabraiz Shamsi (if plays)

Shamsi went wicket less against DC on his debut for RR, but if he plays today, can be a good pick, here’s why:

BatsmenBalls per dismissal against LALBDismissals vs Shamsi
Kane Williamson 15 (his worst)9 balls, 1 dismissal.
Jason Holder 11 (his worst)20 balls, 9 runs, 1 dismissal.
Jason Roy22.325 balls, 1 dismissal

So if Shamsi plays, can be a good risky punt in grand leagues.
