Section 7: Finding the fantasy value:

KL Rahul (chasing): Chasing is a huge advantage at Dubai, and Rahul absolutely loves this venue. Has scored over 600 runs at Dubai, got a peach of a delivery in the last game but I’m expecting him to do well today. Also has very good numbers against all the opening Kiwi bowlers, Boult, Southee & Santner.

KL at Dubai:

Innings 12
Runs609
Average 60.9
SR144
504
1001
HS132*

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Shami & Bumrah (bowling first): Shami has very impressive numbers bowling first at Dubai, and also against Kane, who he has dismissed 4 times in just 8 innings.

Bumrah is Bumrah, so make him captain. (in second innings too)

Captaincy suitability: Mini GL & GL. (Bowling first in SL as well)

Virat Kohli (chasing): Never been dismissed against Boult in T20s, and if chasing, will be a great captaincy choice once again.

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Varun Chakravarthy (bowling second): Had an off day in the last game, just like majority of his team mates but will be a great differential captaincy choice as non-IPL Kiwis willl be playing him for the first time which isn’t easy.

There will be dew in the second innings but he has performed well in the similar conditions in IPL.

Varun at Dubai:

Innings Overs Wickets SR
First 8224
Second20815

Captaincy suitability: Mini GL & GL.

Trent Boult vs Rohit – The battle that will decide the balance of your fantasy XI:

Boult will try to do what Shaheen did in the last game, and he has already dismissed him 3 times in 24 deliveries in T20s & 4 times in 13Is in ODIs.

He hasn’t faced him in T20s since March, 2019 except the hundreds of deliveries that he can faced in the MI nets. So you can expect Rohit to play him better. But you should pick him or not? (Do share in the comments section)

Birthday boy Sodhi’s incredible numbers against India:

Sodhi vs India (his most wickets & best SR against any International side)

Innings 12
Overs 43
Wickets 17
BBI3/18
Avg19.1
SR15.2

Sodhi vs India innings wise: 3,2,1, 2, 2, 1, 0, 2, 1, 0, 3, 0
