Section 7: Finding the fantasy value:
Jasprit Bumrah: Indian batting lineup is giving you no confidence the way they have batted in the first two games. Of course, even bowlers haven’t performed well, but Bumrah is a far more reliable choice in this game and also has very good numbers at this venue.
Bumrah at Abu Dhabi:
Innings | 11 |
Overs | 44 |
Wickets | 20 |
Avg | 15.9 |
SR | 13.2 |
Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.
Lokesh Rahul (chasing): Hasn’t scored runs in the last couple of games but is still India’s best batsman on current form. Rashid Khan will be a major threat against him once again, but he is likely to come after the PP. (Dismissed him in 3/5 innings in T20s & 1/1 innings in ODIs) Against Afghanistan, has scored a 60 & 30 in the two ODIs that he has played.
Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.
Virat Kohli (chasing): Always a very reliable choice while chasing & has been dismissed just once while chasing at this venue in the three innings that he has played. Has scored 67(63) in his only innings vs Afghanistan.
Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.
Rashid Khan (bowling second): Even in conditions where there will be a lot of dew in the second innings, Rashid Khan will stil be a very good captaincy choice. Has good numbers against majority of the Indian batsmen & also has very good numbers at the venue.
Ishan, Surya & Jadeja are the only batsmen in this batting lineup who have never been dismissed by Rashid Khan in T20s.
Rashid Khan at Abu Dhabi: (bowling second)
Innings | 8 |
Overs | 30 |
Wickets | 17 |
Avg | 11.1 |
Econ | 6.3 |
SR | 10.6 |
Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.
