Section 6: Finding the fantasy value:

Top picks:

Glenn Maxwell (batting first): Is in great form with the bat, is bowling regularly, and also has great numbers against Sixers. Batting first, has 5 fifties against Sixers in just 8 innings with an average of over 75

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Tom Curran (bowling first): Tom Curran has performed as a genuine quality AR for Sixers in BBL, will bowl at the death and most likely, will bowl one over at the surge as well. (Not to forget, wickets fell quite consistently during the power surge last season)

Also, is more than a handy batsman at this venue.

Tom Curran at SCG (bowling first)

Innings 7
Overs 28
Wickets 12
Avg19.9
SR14

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Chris Jordan (bowling first): Again, just like Curran, should bowl one at the surge and also at the death. Can always expect one or two wickets from him bowling first.

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Marcus Stoinis (batting first): Stoinis opening the innings has far better numbers than his numbers as a middle order bat. Not sure if is going to bowl (didn’t bowl in the practice game) and how many overs he is going to bowl, but batting at the top alone makes him a good captaincy choice.

Stoinis as an opener in BBL:

Innings 49
Runs1771
Average 42.17 (bat first: 57)
SR131
5013
1001
Ducks3
HS147*

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Josh Philippe (chasing): Great recent form with the bat (recent scores of 45, 53, 8, 45, 129, 17*, 32, 31*) and wicket keeping value as well. Has a poor record against Stars, but has done well while chasing at this venue.

Captaincy suitability: Mini GL & GL.

Moises Henriques: Scored 77(57) in the practice game and will be popular choice in small leagues due to his allround value, but will he bowl? Even though he bowls regularly for Sixers when he is fit, but you still cannot be completely sure. So wait for the lineups and decide according to the overall combination. (DNB in the only game in the Marsh Cup)

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Adam Zampa: After a terrific WC, will be looking to continue the same form in this year’s BBL as well. Has picked 12 wickets against Sixers at an impressive SR of 19 & also has picked 9 wickets at the SCG.

Captaincy suitability: Both small & grand leagues.

Joe Clarke: In great form with the bat, will open the innings, and will give you wicket keeping points as well. Scored 64(40) in one of the practice games.

Captaincy suitability: Mini GL & GL.
